Overnight Coleslaw Recipe
This is a perfect dish to take to a BBQ or a party. Prepare it the night before and just grab it out of the fridge when you’re ready to go! This recipe is from the Everything Lactose-Free Cookbook.
- 4 C shredded cabbage
- 2 C shredded carrots
- 3/4 C unsweetened apple juice
- 1 Tbsp. mustard
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. celery seeds
- 1/2 tsp pepper
In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, and green onions. In a jar with a secure lid, combine apple juice, vinegar, mustard, paprika, mustard seeds, garlic salt, celery seeds, and pepper. Tightly screw jar lid and shake vigorously. Pour over coleslaw mixture. Toss lightly to coat. Cover and refrigerate pvernight. Toss well before serving.
